Founded in 2011 by lawyer-turned-conservationist Showkath Jamal, Bay of Life is Chennai's first surf school and India's first accredited by the SFI. Set in the sheltered Kovalam cove on the ECR, it's built for first-timers and non-swimmers — shallow, safe, and taught by surfers, biologists and lifeguards. Every lesson folds in ocean science: read the sea, respect it.
